December is here. In our little dance world this means that we only have a couple of weeks to finish getting ready for our Christmas programs. For specific date and times, please check your school page on the A Time to Dance website . Here are some things you might want to know.
There is no extra cost for the dance program. We provide tutus and accessories to be worn over the normal ballet uniform: black leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Please check your child's dance clothes for holes in tights and shoes that fit. Some children have already been complaining of shoes that hurt because they are too tight.
Please make sure your child's hair is at least pulled back from her face. A ponytail or bun would be nice, but not required.
In order for your child to feel prepared and confident for the program, please make sure she attends all practices (if possible) before her performance.
Informal format. This Christmas performance is meant to be an informal, relaxed format designed to give the children a feel for performing and the parents a taste of what we have been doing in dance class.
Come prepared to enjoy your child's performance no matter what she does. We hope that all the children will dance, but please remember that the three and four year old dancers are very young and might cry or be hesitant to dance in front of so many people. If this happens we normally encourage them to watch the program in the audience. We celebrate the child more than the performance.
To whom it may apply, December tuition is due now. Please help us close out our books for the year by sending in your tuition at your earliest convenience.
Finally, if you have any question at all, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for the privilege of dancing with your child this Fall semester. We have had a lot of fun together while learning about each other and learning to dance. We look forward to dancing in the Spring semester and performing in our annual Spring Recital.
We pray that you and your family will enjoy all the blessings of our Lord as we celebrate His birthday this season. Here is a great Christmas devotional I found that you can read with your child this Advent Season. Our Gift Giving God by Andrea Kim.
December color sheet
You may download and print up the December color sheet, have your daughter color it and we will put a stamp on it. You may also use it for reviewing dance terms with her. December color sheet
